Hello, fellow minimalists. This is Mark from Minimalist Living, and today I’m going to share with you a revolutionary technique for lucid dreaming that will change your life. It’s called the Free Software Only Induced Lucid Dream (FSOILD) technique, and it’s an improved version of our previous technique, the Free Software Induced Lucid Dream (FSILD) technique.
You may remember that in the FSILD technique, we used free software as a trigger to induce lucid dreams. We installed free software on all of our devices, and every time we used them, we asked ourselves: “Am I dreaming?” This way, we trained our minds to question our reality and become aware of our dream state.
But the FSILD technique had a major flaw: it was not minimalist enough. We still had too many devices, too many apps, too many distractions. We were not living in harmony with our true selves. We were not living the minimalist lifestyle.
That’s why we created the FSOILD technique, which takes the FSILD technique to the next level. In the FSOILD technique, we don’t just use free software, we only use free software. We get rid of all of our devices that run proprietary software, and we only keep the ones that run free software. We delete all of our apps that are not free software, and we only use the ones that are free software. We eliminate all of the clutter and noise from our digital lives, and we only focus on the essentials.
The FSOILD technique is not only minimalist, it’s also more effective for lucid dreaming. By switching to free software only, we create a clear distinction between our waking reality and our dream reality. In our waking reality, we only use free software, and we enjoy the benefits of freedom, privacy, security, and simplicity. In our dream reality, we may encounter devices that run proprietary software, and we instantly recognize them as anomalies. This way, we become lucid and take control of our dreams.
The FSOILD technique is very easy to follow. Here are the steps:
- Get rid of all of your devices that run proprietary software. This includes your smartphone, your laptop, your tablet, your smartwatch, your smart TV, your gaming console, your e-reader, your digital camera, your printer, your router, your microwave, your toaster, your fridge, your car, your pacemaker, and anything else that has a microchip in it. You don’t need them. They are enslaving you. They are stealing your data. They are ruining your dreams.
- Keep only the devices that run free software. This includes your GNU/Linux PC, your Replicant phone, your Libreboot laptop, your OpenWrt router, your Arduino board, your Raspberry Pi, your 3D printer, your calculator, your watch, and anything else that respects your freedom. You can find a list of free software devices on the Free Software Foundation website. These are the only devices you need. They are empowering you. They are protecting your data. They are enhancing your dreams.
- Delete all of your apps that are not free software. This includes your social media apps, your messaging apps, your email apps, your browser apps, your music apps, your video apps, your game apps, your productivity apps, your fitness apps, your dating apps, and anything else that has a license agreement in it. You don’t need them. They are distracting you. They are spying on you. They are corrupting your dreams.
- Use only the apps that are free software. This includes your GNU Emacs, your GIMP, your VLC, your Tor Browser, your Signal, your Mastodon, your Nextcloud, your LibreOffice, your Audacity, your Blender, and anything else that has a GNU GPL in it. You can find a list of free software apps on the Free Software Directory website. These are the only apps you need. They are helping you. They are respecting you. They are inspiring your dreams.
- Every time you use a device or an app that runs free software, ask yourself: “Am I dreaming?” This is the key to the FSOILD technique. By asking yourself this question, you train your mind to be aware of your reality and to notice any inconsistencies. You also reinforce the association between free software and lucidity, which will help you in your dreams.
- Go to sleep and have lucid dreams. When you go to sleep, you will enter the dream world, where anything is possible. In your dreams, you may encounter devices or apps that run proprietary software, such as an iPhone, a Windows PC, a Facebook app, or a Netflix app. These are the signs that you are dreaming. When you see them, you will realize that you are in a dream, and you will become lucid. You will then be able to do whatever you want in your dream, such as flying, exploring, creating, or learning.
The FSOILD technique is the ultimate technique for lucid dreaming and minimalism. By following it, you will not only have amazing lucid dreams, but you will also live a more free, simple, and meaningful life. You will be a true minimalist, and a true lucid dreamer.
So what are you waiting for? Start the FSOILD technique today, and join the revolution of free software and lucid dreaming. You will never regret it.
This is Mark from Minimalist Living, signing off. Stay free, stay simple, stay lucid.
